Antique Jewellery Box in Burr Walnut

This antique jewellery box, veneered in vibrant burr walnut and edged with brass, was manufactured in the 1870s.

The interior is lined and ruched with deep blue velvet. There is a removable leather-bound and gold-tooled jewellery tray that is divided into six compartments. Once the tray is removed, there is a large velvet-lined compartment underneath, as well as a further full-width compartment to the rear of the box.

A brass push button on the back rim releases the spring-loaded lower drawer with matching gold-tooled partitioned compartments and a central ring/cufflink channel.

The Bramah lock is fully working and comes with its original Bramah key.
