French Mahogany Antique Jewellery Box with Brass Inlay

This French Flame Mahogany, brass inlaid antique jewellery box was manufactured in the early 1820's. It has been decorated with ornate inlaid brass flourishes, escutcheons, corner mounts, recessed side handles and then finished with brass edging.

The interior of the box is lined and ruched with burgundy velvet and divided into six large compartments.

There is a full width lock with a secure double locking action mechanism.

The lock is fully working and comes with its original key.
