Antique Jewellery Box in Coromandel

Dating from the 1870s, this large antique jewellery box in coromandel is edged in brass, with brass recessed side handles and two Bramah locks. There is a central elliptical brass plate inset in the lid that bears an engraved initialled monogram.

The interior of the box is lined and ruched with deep green velvet. There is a central removable leather-bound tray with a velvet-lined area beneath, as well as two compartmented side sections.

The extra-deep lower drawer, with its own independent Bramah lock, is lined with matching velvet.

Both Bramah locks are fully working and come with their original Bramah keys.
