Antique Jewellery Box in Burr Walnut, by Edward Baxter

Dating from the 1870’s, this antique jewellery box is veneered in Burr Walnut and edged in brass.

The single compartment interior is lined with burgundy moiré silk and matching velvet. An engraved brass plate inset to the rear rim of the box reads, ‘Baxter. Maker, 16 Cockspur St’.

The Bramah lock comes with its working key.
