Antique Jewellery Box in Rosewood with Scrollwork Brass Inlay

Dating from the mid-1820's, this fine antique jewellery box is veneered in rosewood and inlaid with a foliate and scrollwork brass design.

The box is finished with right-angle brass edging and recessed brass handles.

The interior is lined with a purple velvet. A solid Mahogany compartmented and lidded tray can be removed to reveal a large velvet lined area beneath.

The lock comes with its original key.

The condition of the box is excellent both externally and internally.
