Antique Jewellery Box in Kingwood with Brass Inlay

Dating from the early 1820s, this antique jewellery box is veneered in kingwood and inlaid with a brass Greek key design accompanying brass strapping. It is finished with recessed brass side handles and a central brass top plate.

The interior, lined with green velvet and grosgrain silk, contains a removable jewellery tray.

The lock comes with its original key.
