Antique Jewellery Box in Coromandel

This antique jewellery box, dating from the mid 1860's, is veneered in Coromandel and fitted with brass recessed side handles and two Bramah locks.
The interior of the box is lined and ruched in purple velvet. There is a removable leather-bound tray with a velvet-lined area beneath, as well as a full width rear compartment.
The lower drawer, with its own independently locking Bramah lock, has a leather-bound lidded surface with a velvet-lined jewellery area and a full width ring/ cuff link channel underneath.
