Antique Jewellery Box in Coromandel, by Mappin & Webb

Dating from the 1870’s, this large antique jewellery box is veneered in Coromandel, with brass edging and recessed brass side handles.

The cushioned single compartment interior is lined and ruched with ruby red velvet.

An engraved brass plate to the inside of the lid reads, ‘Mappin & Webb - Sheffield - 158 to 162 Oxford St & Mansion House Buildgs - London’.

The Bramah lock comes with its original key.
